What the truck carries parts for

Four jobs, and a fifth one isn’t invented to pad the list.

Repair, installation, preventive maintenance and commercial work. That is what LaFitte HVAC publishes as its services, in its own words, and it is what this page describes below in more detail than a one-line summary allows.

Repair

Heating and Air Conditioning Repair

A system that will not start is usually the cheapest fix in the truck to make right. A failed capacitor will not spin the compressor at all, and the symptom looks identical to a system that is actually finished, the difference between the two is a five-minute test, not a guess.

The checklist runs electrical first, then the coil, then the refrigerant charge, then the ductwork behind it, because most calls resolve before they ever reach a serious question. Customers describe capacitors replaced, condensers cleaned and refrigerant topped up inside one visit, with the system running again before the truck leaves the driveway.

Installation

Air Conditioning and Heating Installation

Sizing a system wrong costs money twice, once on the equipment and again every month after in the utility bill. A proper load calculation accounts for the home or building’s actual square footage, insulation and duct layout, rather than swapping in a unit the same tonnage as whatever failed.

New design and installation covers both halves of that job, because the ductwork a new system breathes through matters as much as the equipment sitting on the pad. One review describes ductwork rerouted after a builder got a run wrong and a media filter added in the attic, the kind of correction a fresh install needs to inherit right the first time.

Maintenance

Preventive Maintenance

A coil that never gets cleaned makes the compressor work harder to move the same amount of heat, which is how a fifteen-year-old system starts costing what a five-year-old one should not. The Preventative Maintenance Agreement checks the parts that fail quietly, coils, drains, electrical connections, refrigerant charge, before a Texas summer finds them for you. It is the same inspection order a repair call runs, done on a schedule instead of in an emergency.

What the agreement covers

Commercial

Commercial HVAC

A building’s HVAC system is usually one of its largest utility line items, and the cost of getting it wrong compounds across every tenant, employee or customer inside. Commercial work covers the same repair, installation and maintenance disciplines as residential, sized and scheduled around a business that cannot simply close for the afternoon while a system gets sorted out.
