Electrical
A failed capacitor will not start the compressor, and the symptom is identical to a dead system. It is a part swap. One customer describes exactly that visit: capacitor replaced, condenser cleaned, refrigerant topped up, running again the same call.
Condenser
A coil packed with Texas dust makes the compressor work against itself. Load climbs, the bill climbs with it, and nothing has actually broken. Cleaning it is maintenance, not surgery.
Charge
Refrigerant does not get used up. If it is low, it went somewhere. A charge and a leak search is the fork in the road: find it and you have a repair, keep refilling it and you are renting a problem.
Distribution
Undersized returns, crushed flex, a run the builder never finished. One review describes ductwork rerouted after a builder got it wrong and a media filter added in the attic. A new system pushed through the same ducts inherits the same problem.
“LaFitte HVAC has serviced my AC system a couple times and has done an excellent job. above all they have been honest with me. And not tried to sell me a new system when all I needed was a repair.”
What the truck is set up for
These are LaFitte HVAC's own four service lines, in their own words. There is no fifth one padded on to make the list look longer.

How a repair call runsThe archive
Every photograph here was taken on a LaFitte HVAC job and published by the company or its customers. None of it is stock, and none of it is a rendering.
The threshold
Nobody can tell you which side you are on from a phone call, and anyone who does is guessing. It takes readings. That is the whole job.
Repair or replace
Both of these are real outcomes. Which one you get depends on the system, not on what is convenient to sell that afternoon.
Still a repair
Capacitors, contactors, a dirty coil, a blocked drain, a duct that came loose. These are the majority of call outs and they end the same day. If financing helps spread a bigger repair, financing available through synchrony, and one customer says it was offered for a repair rather than a replacement.
Genuinely past it
A compressor gone, a leak that keeps coming back, a system so far past its service life that every repair buys weeks. Installation covers new design, equipment upgrades and the ductwork it has to breathe through, on homes and on commercial buildings alike.
Before the season turns
Coils cleaned, charge checked, drains cleared, electrical read before it fails. It is the company's own named programme, and it is the difference between a scheduled morning and an emergency afternoon.
What customers actually wrote
“Charles was professional, helpful, and honest. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the capacitor, cleaned the condenser, added the needed refrigerant, and got my AC running again. He also took extra time to fix and clean a vent in my daughter's room and explain what he found. I appreciated that he did not pressure me into replacing the entire system. I would use this company again for repairs.”
“LaFitte HVAC is always professional and very thorough with their jobs/ assessments. The pricing was great and will let you know the honest route to go!”
“My grandparents and I were both serviced today by Anthony and we cannot say enough good things!! He showed up was polite and timely had no issue working around our fur babies and our 7 month old!!!”
